In my work at <\/span>CitationStyler.com<\/a> I support organisations and individuals in automating their reference management processes and making them more efficient. In this article I would like to share a <\/span>case study<\/strong> about <\/span>Willow Springs Strategic Solutions<\/a> (WSSS), an organisation focused on research-based community work, and how my <\/span>tailor-made solution<\/strong> improved their efficiency and saved them hours of manual work.<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

WSSS publishes <\/span>elaborate reports and whitepapers<\/strong>, heavily based on archive material, secondary sources and community-based research. In addition to correct citation in footnotes and bibliographies, there was a <\/span>central requirement<\/strong>with which they approached me: <\/span><\/p>\n

For each cited document, a <\/span>unique identifier<\/strong> needed to be issued in a <\/span>document register, <\/strong>and added to the filename of each <\/span>PDF file<\/strong> as these needed to be handed in with each report. <\/span><\/p>\n

All of this was done <\/span>manually <\/strong>previously \u2013 with a lot of <\/span>labour<\/u> and <\/span>room for error!<\/u><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
